A soldier writes a letter home
Just a simple prayer

Love’s the hardest part
Of not being able to hold you

Bullets pierced my heart

An angel delivers a letter
In the winds from above
She saw him standing there
With Heaven’s love

As she read his every word
An Angel she did meet
Her soldier’s prayer was heard
